Can a cookie make a difference?
60Girl Scout Cookies They're Back!
Did Confucius ever ponder whether cookies can make a difference? Can they make a difference? You decide ....
Just about everyone knows about Girl Scout Cookies. Cheerful young ladies sell them door to door, in front of local shops from January through March as a way to raise money, set goals and build entrepreneurial skills. However. there's a little known project called "Cookie Share" and it’s a wonderful way to spread a little joy in stressful times. Many people don't know about Cookie Share. It’s relatively new and the focus has been on traditional cookie sales. Each Council selects causes their Cookie Share donations will support and cookies can be donated by purchasers (cookie donations go to ie., homeless shelters, US troops, food banks, etc).
For just $4 anyone can be someone’s hero; average people everywhere, business owners, managers, corporate executives or even a child who can save their allowance, can make a difference through Cookie Share. The council in the OC selected Helping our Troops http://helpingourtroops.com and a local food bank Second Harvest http://www.feedoc.org to help economically challenged and trying to feed their families.
It's not a cure for deadly diseases, it's not a solution to economic crisis, it's a small box of joy to someone who would really appreciate it. Imagine a Soldie
It's great to buy Girl Scout cookies from a cheerful face who shows up at your doorstep or at the local bank or supermarket -- make her day and yours. However, if you know anyone with a big heart or if you have an inclination to make a small difference or many small differences, a donation of any size to Cookie Share is a great way to do it.
Have you decided that cookies can make a difference? Would you like to encourage entrepreneurial skills and doing good in the community? Would you like to be someone’s hero today? In the spirit of helping others,Spread the word! Young ladies and future leaders are ready to take Cookie Share orders and they’re all over the world 10 million strong in 145 countries www.wagggsworld.org Whether it's $4 or a lot more than that, I hope you'll share this opportunity to make a difference.
